Andrey P. Fisenko, MD, Ph.D., Professor, the Honour physician of the Russian Federation, the Director of the "National Medical Research Medical Center of Children's Health" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
In 1980 Andrey P. Fisenko graduated from the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Institute with honors and selected Pediatrics as a mission. After his training in clinical residency and postgraduate studies in Pediatrics at the Department of children's diseases of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Institute, in 1985 Andrey P. Fisenko defended the Candidate dissertation.
Until 1989, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Children's Diseases of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Institute, participated in the campaign of the Ministry of Health of the USSR and the V.I. Lenin Children's Fund on the elimination of children and maternal mortality in the Republics of Central Asia. For his hard and effective work in the Bukhara and Tashkent regions of the Uzbek SSR in July-August 1987-1988, He was awarded the commendation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
In 1989, the was invited as the Head of the Therapeutic Unit of The Pediatric Department of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Fourth General Directorate of the RF Ministry of Health. In 1995 he became Deputy-Chief physician on the medical part (according to pediatrics and obstetrics) of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Center of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. Along with medical activity, he conducted both scientific and teaching work.
In 1993, Andrey P. Fisenko was awarded the academic title of Assistant professor at the Department of Children's diseases. In 1996 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Cytomegalovirus infection in children. Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment". He was awarded the Academic title of Professor in the specialty "Pediatrics" in 1998, and he was assigned the Qualification rank of the 2nd class State Councilor of the Russian Federation in 1999.
From 1997 to 2000 A.P. Fisenko was the First Deputy of the General Director of the Medical Center of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. Then, until 2018, he was the Deputy of the Chief physician for the medical activity of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Center of Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. In these years Andrey P. Fisenko was formed as a responsible, creative leader with the consistency of aim and high demands on himself and employees. He spent a lot of work on the organization of medical examination and treatment of children with various forms of pathology, became the leader of the creative team, able to generate interest in productive work and professional growth of employees.
In April 2018, Andrey P. Fisenko was appointed as a Director of the Federal State Autonomous Institution "National Medical Research Center for Children's Health" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. His constant concern was to ensure the high quality of the Center's activities, meet the demands of modern clinical Pediatrics, and protect children's health.
At this post, there was particularly proved the ability of Andrey P. Fisenko to create effective management programs for the implementation of the development strategy of the Children's Health Center. Its important elements include as follows: professionalism of employees, the economic performance of the team, modern means of providing scientific and clinical activities, continuing professional training of doctors and nursing staff, active training of medical personnel and young scientists; widespread use of telemedicine for counseling patients and informing about the activities of the Center.

The main directions of scientific research of Andrey P. Fisenko are as follows: the delivery of new approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of children diseases with using cellular, molecular genetic, genomic and postgenomic technologies, the development of new methods for the prevention and rehabilitation of children with chronic disabling diseases, the organization of comprehensive medical care for children with orphan diseases and newborns with developmental malformations. He has published more than 80 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and 3 monographs.

In 2007 Andrey Fisenko was commended by the Directorate of Presidential Affairs of the Russian Federation. In the same year, he was awarded the Medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd class, for services to the public health and many years of conscientious work. In 2013, he was awarded the Commemorative badge “20 years of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation – The Russian Russian Federation”. In 2015, Andrey P. Fisenko awarded the honorary title "Honored Physician of the Russian Federation".
